Engineering Education Enrichment | e3 Initiative

An NSF-sponsored program, Grant# 1953466, designed to enhance student marketability with career-ready skills and experience.

The Engineering Education Enrichment, e3, Initiative engages eligible engineering students in self-directed learning and hands-on training with industry-valued certifications, entrepreneurship training, and design project experiences. Engineering and technology professionals must become lifelong, adaptive learners who enhance their knowledge, as needed, to address new challenges and market shifts. The e3 Initiative puts students in control of their education by challenging them to recognize and remedy skills gaps, making themselves more marketable and career ready.

Undergraduate engineering students who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents and who maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above are eligible to participate. Students may learn more and express interest by selecting the Student Participation page or by contacting the e3 team at e3initiative@nmsu.edu.

The e3 Initiative is provided to students at no cost as a result of a grant award to the College of Engineering, New Mexico State University, by the National Science Foundation. This award is grant# 1953466 and is titled: Combining Andragogy and Pedagogy to Help First Generation, Low Income Students Succeed in Engineering.
