Plus, you’ll receive personalized support from Career Navigators—third and fourth year students who will connect you with industry professionals, student clubs, and faculty for research opportunities, all while guiding you through your first year.

Program Details
As part of First-Year Students in STEM, 50 engineering and computer science students will participate in cooperative learning experiences that bring awareness to current and emerging workplace skills and knowledge, and recognize the importance of their participation in the development of technology that affects their communities. Why Participate?

Skill Development: Leadership, teamwork, time management, and communication skills can all be honed through participation.

Networking: Getting involved allows students to expand their social and professional networks. They can meet people with similar interests, as well as potential mentors and future colleagues. Networking can be invaluable for career development and personal growth.

Resume Building: Employers often look for well-rounded candidates who have demonstrated involvement and leadership outside of academics. Participating in extracurricular activities can enhance a student's resume and make them more competitive in the job market.
