Guide and Mentor Students as a Career Navigator

Would you like to be part of a peer support network to help first-year students navigate potential barriers to their academic success?

Apply to be a Career Navigator by Aug. 30, 2025 if...

You are a computer science or engineering major in at least your third or fourth year of college at NMSU.

You want to become a mentor to first-year students by sharing what you wish you had known and telling your story.

Commitment

  • Complete approximately 10-12 mentoring hours per month to two, first-year students in majors similar to yours for two semesters (Fall 2025 & Spring 2026). Students and Navigators will be matched by program administrators.
  • Complete Career Navigator orientation training

Introduce new students to resources and opportunities:
