  • After I submit the Student Interest Form, what should I expect? The Student Interest Form is just a preliminary step to let us know that you would like additional information about Shaping the Future in STEM. You are not locked in to the program and you can change your mind. A representative from Shaping the Future in STEM will contact you about your interest within 1-2 weeks.
  • Do I really have time for this? Since participation is self-paced and self-directed, students are able to organize their participation around their class schedules. Many of the micro-credential certification courses are completed online at a time that works best for students.. Shaping the Future in STEM offers so much flexibility.
  • Are there any "hidden" costs associated with the track I choose? It is the intent of the Shaping the Future in STEM to cover primary costs associated with your chosen track; such as, material costs, certification course etc. There is no university charge to the student for participation in this initiative and university resources (Aggie Innovation Space, Arrowhead Center, Engineering Learning Communities) will be available to students.
  • When will I receive my stipend? Stipends will be distributed to participating students in two disbursements; one disbursement of $250 within the first month of joining the cohort and the second disbursement of $250 once the student has completed (1) their micro-credential course (2) completed the end of cohort survey.
