NMSU’s annual concrete school set for Jan. 6-7

The College of Engineering at New Mexico State University, in partnership with the New Mexico Ready Mix Concrete and Aggregates Association, will host an in-person concrete training for the construction industry, Jan. 6-7. The 59th annual Samuel P. Maggard Quality Concrete School is designed for concrete professionals, contractors and professional engineers.

The Quality Concrete School teaches the latest technologies for concrete applications taught by NMSU Civil Engineering faculty and industry experts. The 2023 program will address a range of competencies from basic properties of concrete, durability and service life for concrete structures, sustainability, employee recruitment and retention initiatives, polycarboxylate superplasticizers and more.

The school will be held in-person. Participants will meet on the NMSU campus in Las Cruces. Registration includes face-to-face interactions with speakers, hands-on demonstrations and meals.
