New Mexico State University’s Office of Experiential Learning will host the 17th annual Career Connections Fair Feb. 1-2. NMSU students and alumni along with community members are invited to attend the two-day event, which will be held in person from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Corbett Center Student Union, third floor ballrooms.  “The Career Connections Career Fair launches NMSU’s spring employer recruitment season,” said Patricia Leyba, director of Experiential Learning. “In collaboration with a number of employers across the U.S., Career Connections offers employers the opportunity to recruit graduates for employment as well as students to participate in internships for summer and fall. NMSU will resume in-person career fairs as both employers and students have been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to connect face to face.”   Career Connections is open to all majors on both days of the event. Students and employers are encouraged to attend one or both days. The career fair is open to alumni and the public as well.  Students, alumni and guests are encouraged to register for the fair via Handshake and can also see the most current list of employers attending the fair. Handshake is accessible on the OEL website at https://oel.nmsu.edu. The website also offers employers and students additional resources to assist with recruitment and job search. It is recommended that students research potential employers in advance and dress professionally for the fair. Resumes should be up to date and ready to distribute during the fair.  The Student Success Center offers assistance with resume review and interview preparation. For more information on career preparation, contact Yvonne Franco or Cody Womack at 575-646-3136, or schedule an appointment via Handshake.   For more information on the Career Connections Fair, contact the NMSU Office of Experiential Learning at 575-646-1631 or email employer@nmsu.edu.
