NMSU College of Education professor, former engineering dean recognized as local American Graduate Champions
New Mexico State University College of Education Associate Professor Azadeh Osanloo, the Stan Fulton Chair for the Improvement of Border and Rural Schools, and former College of Engineering Dean Ricardo Jacquez were recognized recently for their contributions to education and improving the lives of children.
When Ricardo Jacquez, now dean of the NMSU College of Engineering, became the lead for a National Science Foundation grant in 1993, little did he know that it would impact the lives of nearly 8,000 students over the next 18 years.
M.G. Martinez, a graduate of Stanford University, travels to public schools across the state in an effort to stress the importance of higher education to middle and high school students. He currently works as an outreach consultant for New Mexico State University.
