New Mexico State University engineering graduates were recognized at a 25-year-old tradition: the Sociedad de Ingenieros on May 9, at the Corbett Center Ballrooms.

For their outstanding academic performance, leadership, scholarship and participation in university and community activities, the New Mexico State University Alumni Association honored nine Outstanding Graduates for Fall 2008.
Michelle Teresa Estrada-Lopez, a 2002 graduate of Las Cruces High School, received the 1919 Award as valedictorian of the New Mexico State University 2007 graduating class and was also acknowledged as graduating with highest honors from the NMSU College of Engineering.
The NMSU College of Engineering will hold a special ceremony for its graduates honoring students and supporters.
