NMSU researchers help cities develop solar power

NMSU part of Texas alliance to develop wind research facility

New Mexico State University’s College of Engineering is part of a Texas consortium that has been awarded $2 million in test equipment to develop large-scale wind blade and component test facilities, accelerating the commercial availability of wind energy.

NMSU solar research institute receives $4.2 million award

New Mexico State University’s Southwest Technology Development Institute (SWTDI) has been awarded a $4.2 million, five-year contract to conduct research aiding the U.S. Department of Energy’s new Solar America Initiative.
