WERC receives funding to reduce pesticide use

A new project entitled “Training and Outreach to New Mexico’s Agricultural Community on Reduced Risk Practices for Pesticides and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)” for $74,974 will fund proposed activities in the state of New Mexico to implement portions of the Food Quality Protection Act through the U.S. EPA’s Strategic Agricultural Initiative Grant Program.

Students to compete in International Environmental Design Contest

University and high school students from throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico will participate in the 17th Annual International Environmental Design Contest (EDC) April 1-4 at New Mexico State University.
