Joseph Perea promoted by ExxonMobil

Effective April 1, 2011, J. E. (Joseph) Perea, currently U.S. Supply Manager, Americas Operations, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company, Fairfax, will become Technical Manager – Americas, Technology.

Perea began his ExxonMobil career in 1994 within the ExxonMobil Pipeline Company in Houston, Tex. In various locations throughout the US, he spent the first three years of his career as a Project and Field Engineer focused on supporting projects at the pipeline terminals.

He joined the Lubricants and Specialties Company in 1997, initially based in Houston, with the BSA organization selling petroleum wax. He moved through various positions within finished lubes before moving to Fairfax and back into BSA as the Global Analyst. He then progressed into Aviation Lubricants as the Global Business Development Advisor and subsequently supported and lead various US business initiatives. In January 2007 he moved to Phoenix, Ariz. as the Southwest District Sales Manager and was most recently the U.S. Supply Manager. Perea joined the Technical team in April 2011.

Perea received a mechanical engineering degree from New Mexico State University and is currently a member of the NMSU Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Academy. He and his wife Christina have two children. His interests include spending time with family, riding ATVs, collecting classic Ford Mustangs, music and sports.
