In Memoriam: Guillermo “Willie” Guaderamma, Jr.

Guillermo “Willie” Guaderamma, Jr., born April 2, 1949 in El Paso, Texas and long-time resident of Las Cruces passed into eternal life Thursday, November 24, 2011 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. “Willie” as he was fondly known to family and friends graduated from Cathedral High School in El Paso and continued his education at New Mexico State University where he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering. He retired from the State of New Mexico as a Civil Engineer and enjoyed working on his pecan orchard at home. Willie was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved playing guitar and singing for family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Guillermo “Lan” Guaderrama Sr. and mother, Bertha (Campos) Guaderrama; brothers, Froilan Guaderrama, Arturo “Tury” Guaderrama and a sister, Otilia “Tillie” Lujan. Survivors include his loving wife, Rosario (Medina) Guaderrama of the family home; a son, RenĂ© Guaderrama and wife Marisa C.; daughters (oldest to youngest), Laura Guaderrama and fiancĂ©e Will Barela, Karina Guaderrama, and Brisa Guaderrama; grandchildren, Andres Guaderrama, Miguel Guaderrama, and Joaquin Guaderrama; brothers, Jaime Guaderrama, and David Guaderrama (Annalisa); sisters, Enedina Reyes (Raul), Blanca Strange, Bertha Alicia Moseson (Dane), Teresa Caruso (Tony). Other survivors include numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Per his request, cremation will take place and Memorial Service will be held at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in The Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 3600 Parroquia Street in Tortugas. Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date. Entrusted to Baca’s Funeral Chapels and Sunset Crematory of Las Cruces.
