NMSU alumnus earns engineering award


The Jackson chapter of The Michigan Society of Professional Engineers has announced its 2010 Engineer Awards. Peter A. Mulhearn has been named engineer of the year. Mulhearn earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power from New Mexico State University in 1990. His experience includes working as a design engineer for ABB Power T&D Company in St. Louis and as a transmission planning and substation design engineer for CPS Energy in San Antonio. Mulhearn has worked for Consumers Energy in Jackson in the high voltage distribution lines design and standards group since 2002.
