NMSU’s Career Expo seeks interested employers

By Bryant Million

New Mexico State University’s Career Services is seeking employers to participate in the 25th annual Career Expo, which gives employers the opportunity to meet with students interested in networking and broadening their career services.

The Career Expo will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the Ballrooms on the third floor of NMSU’s Corbett Center.

“The quality of our students, as well as their flexibility and mobility, makes them good candidates for employers,” said Roseanne Bensley, associate director of Career Services. “Employers are extremely pleased with the work experience NMSU students gain from cooperative education, internships, part-time, summer and volunteer experiences. This makes our students ready to enter the work force trained for their new positions.”

The Career Expo is co-sponsored by the College of Engineering and Career Services. On Sept. 22, the Expo will focus on students majoring in agriculture, business, and liberal arts. The following day will focus on students entering engineering, sciences and technology fields. During the Career Expo, employers will also have the opportunity to discuss internships, cooperative education positions (co-ops) and professional employment.
