We have been eagerly awaiting the airing of the College of Engineering video for the “Informed” series— an award-winning program that highlights stories and innovative concepts through documentaries on topics such as business, medicine, education, environmental issues. Be watching this month, especially if you live in the in the cities of Albuquerque, El Paso, Amarillo, Phoenix and Tucson. The NMSU engineering piece will air during Peak (7 a.m.-11:45 a.m.) and Prime (6 p.m.-11:45 p.m.) time on the CNN, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, Fox Business Network, TLC and Discovery between Feb. 19 and Feb. 28. Following that, it will be distributed to 200 plus Public Television affiliates across the nation. You can also view the video from our website at View Video. I am very proud of the opportunity to give the story of the NMSU College of Engineering visibility throughout the nation. It’s a great story—I hope you enjoy it.

Ronald Unruh (right), BFI officer of the Board of Directors for the Professional Aerospace Contractors Association of New Mexico, presented Sarah Babins and Mark Gladden from the NMSU Foundation with a generous $15,000 gift for the College of Engineering.
The Professional Aerospace Contractors Association (PACA) of New Mexico was founded in 1984 to promote a healthy and vigorous relationship between the aerospace industry and government agencies in New Mexico. Since then, it has become widely recognized and used by all government agencies in the area as a forum for interaction with the aerospace, defense, and national security industries.
The New Mexico Space Grant Consortium at New Mexico State University on Dec. 1 awarded eight New Mexico State University College of Engineering students with research scholarships/fellowships for the spring 2018 and fall 2018 semesters totaling $65,000.
