New Mexico State University was selected to receive a NASA Early Stage Innovations grant to conduct game-changing space technology research. NMSU’s proposal was one of 14 university-led research proposals chosen to receive up to $650,000 from NASA’s Space Technology Research Grants program for up to three years.

New Mexico State University is positioning itself as a leader in agricultural sustainability as a team of researchers embark on new projects to study groundbreaking water-saving technology.
Students from the Department of Civil Engineering at New Mexico State University received numerous awards at this year’s virtual Research and Creativity week. A total of eight civil engineering students presented their projects with four placing in the top 10 of all presentations.
From the very start of his engineering education at New Mexico State University, Joshua Gomez made the best of every opportunity that came his way. His hard work, passion for chemical engineering and research earned him a fellowship from the National GEM Consortium, tuition for his master’s degree, a stipend for other expenses, and two summers of experience conducting research at a national laboratory.
Over the past two years, the New Mexico State University College of Engineering has been developing a program to increase the graduation rates of underrepresented minorities, particularly minority women, and place them into science and engineering careers.
