After a request from the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), the Carlsbad Environmental Monitoring and Research Center (CEMRC) at NMSU will provide scientific and support services for LANL. A non-academic department in the College of Engineering at NMSU, the mission of CEMRC is to serve as a center of excellence for analytical and scientific services and educational resources in Carlsbad , N.M. , supported through grants contracts and collaborative partnerships.
