Award supports photovoltaic evaluations
The Southwest Technology Development Institute (SWTDI) received the second of what will be three annual contract awards to operate the Southwest Region Photovoltaic Experiment Station (SWRES) at NMSU. This award of $850,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy will be used to provide engineering test, evaluation, and training activities in support of the U.S. National Photovoltaic Program. The SWRES is one of the leading photovoltaic system field test and evaluation laboratories in the U.S. SWTDI is part of NMSU's College of Engineering Institute for Energy and the Environment.
