Re-NUWIt is a multi-institution research center whose goal is to change the ways in which we manage urban water. Our vision is of safe, sustainable urban water infrastructures enabled by technological advances in natural and engineered systems and informed by a deeper understanding of institutional frameworks.
Institute for Energy and the Environment (IEE)
The Institute for Energy and the Environment is a multidisciplinary research organization focusing on issues related to energy, water and the environment. IEE activities encompass research, analytical services, technology development and deployment and dissemination of information through public outreach.
- WERC: A Consortium for Environmental Education and Technology Development
WERC’s mission is to develop human resources and technologies to address environmental and human-health related issues through education, public outreach and technology development and deployment.
Carlsbad Environmental Monitoring and Research Center (CEMRC)
Established in 1991, CEMRC conducts environmental research, provides specialized analytical services and technology development, and disseminates information for federal, state and private sponsors.
Southwest Technology Development Institute (SWTDI)
The Southwest Technology Development Institute was established in 1977 as an applied research and development center for renewable energy technologies. It is today recognized for its engineering research in energy and environmental systems.
Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Center (M-TEC)
M-TEC supports economic development in New Mexico by providing quality education, engineering, technical and other extension services to constituents both internal to NMSU as well as throughout the state.
New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (NMAMP)
The New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (New Mexico AMP) is designed to increase the enrollment and graduation rate of historically underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Center for Space Telemetering and Telecommunications Systems
NMSU was designated as a Telemetering Center of Excellence by the International Foundation for Telemetering to conduct the study of telemetry systems, advanced communications, advanced modulation, coding, data transport and equalization techniques.
Electric Utility Management Program (EUMP)
EUMP mission is to educate system engineers who understand the engineering aspects of Electrical Power Systems, as well as the economics, management and societal aspects of the power engineering profession.
