Come to Science Café on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science learn how a smart thermostat works and the role it can play in reducing energy consumption at peak times during the hottest months of the year. Hear from Clay Doyle, Vice President of Transmission & Distribution and System Planning at El Paso Electric as he explains how the new demand response pilot program, eSmart Thermostat, will work, and the engineering involved with this project.

Sigma Xi’s Science Café is presented by the Scientific Research Society, in cooperation with the Las Cruces Museum of Nature and Science.
