Ross and Lydia Lopez Minority Undergraduate Scholarship


Criteria:

  • Undergraduate ethnic minority (African-American, Hispanic or Native American)
  • 3.0 minimum cumulative High School GPA
  • Enrolled in electrical and computer engineering (even-numbered years) or computer science (odd-numbered years). The scholarship award alternates annually for students in engineering and computer science. 
  • Demonstrated mentorship through community efforts, with preference given to those who have volunteered or tutored at elementary and middle schools while attending high school
  • Preference given to students graduating from Espanola Valley High School . In the event that there are no qualified applicants from Espanola Valley High School, the award will be made to an applicant from the following Northern New Mexico High School: Coronado High School (Jemez Mountain), Dulce High School, Escalante High School (Chama), Mora High School, Pecos High School, Penasco High School, Pojoaque High School, Questa High School, Robertson High School (Las Vegas), Taos High School, or West Las Vegas High School.
