ABET Alumni Survey

Each year, accreditation becomes more important to engineering schools and programs. Not only does a degree from a fully accredited institution carry added value, but some companies are no longer recruiting students from non-accredited programs. As such, each department in the College of Engineering at New Mexico State University has as one of its highest priorities, maintaining its accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Part of the accreditation process consists of maintaining a continuous feedback loop with alumni, and using this feedback for program modifications and improvements. Each year, we survey alumni from two-year and five-year prior graduating classes. We are asking for your help by completing the alumni survey form on the College of Engineering website. It is very easy to do and will only take 15-20 minutes of your time. There are three ways to complete the survey:

1. Complete the survey via the Internet

Select your degree area from the following departments. Upon submission, the survey will automatically be e-mailed back to us when you click submit at the end of the document.

2. Complete the hard copy and mail it to us

If you prefer not to complete the survey on-line, you may print out a hard copy of the form, complete it, and mail to:
College of Engineering , MSC 3449 Attn: Alumni Survey, New Mexico State University, P.O. Box 30003 Las Cruces , NM 88003

3. Complete the survey by telephone

If this is your preference, please e-mail us at engr-dean@nmsu.edu with a time that is convenient for you and your phone number. Please indicate if you are in a different time zone. A representative from your former department will call you to complete the survey verbally. Your feedback is a critical part of our continuous improvement process, so please help by completing and returning the survey as soon as possible. Those submitting their surveys by September 1, 2006 will be entered in a raffle for one of five College of Engineering polo shirts. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this critically important process.
